REAL LIFE PROPOSAL SHOOT

When my good friend and INCREDIBLE photographer Stacy Childers told me she had a surprise proposal shoot on the same day as one of our magazine editorials, I started to think...  Wouldn't it be fantastic if one of our setups could actually be USED for a real life engagement?!

Stacy had a couple shoot with Tom and Luanne earlier that day on the beach. This lovely duo had been together for two and a half years and were in the midst of working for the Sharp Hospice Care Regatta, as Luanne chaired the Gala Committee. While the two lovebirds were excited to have a portrait session together, Luanne had no idea that a surprise proposal was in the works. Only a select few knew that Tom had a ring in his pocket all day. Of course one of them being Stacy, poised to get the shot!

It only seemed fitting that they ended their photo session at Loews Coronado Hotel, the site for our Ceremony Magazine photoshoot. Because the magazine shot the ceremony setup right before sunset, it was perfect timing for Tom and Luanne to step into our enchanted scene for a few more shots. What seemed like the perfect end to their photoshoot became a magical moment, when Tom dropped to one knee and asked Luanne to be his wife.

Congratulations Tom & Luanne!!! We wish you every HAPPINESS!!!

SUMMER LOVIN

Surf's up San Diego! June is now upon us, which means the summer has officially begun! We have so much LOVE happening at Embellishmint right now, as we are in the midst of preparing for the Del Mar Fair Flower Show, incredible weddings and upcoming stylized photo shoots. We thought it appropriate to show some LOVE to one of our absolute favorite tabletop designs for Ceremony Magazine 2013. This table debuted at the Blue Crush event at the Hilton Carlsbad Oceanfront Resort & Spa around this time last year and perfectly reminds us that when life gives you lemons...make something fabulous!

Ceremony Magazine's VIVIDLY SUCCULENT Tabletop Feature

Ceremony Magazine featured this vividly succulent tabletop spread in the 2014 San Diego edition, now available on newsstands! We were thrilled to create this lavish decor and set the scene right here in our Upcycled Warehouse to utilize our ever-growing succulent wall as the backdrop. Laura from Sweet Ribbon Events designed these lush linens specifically for the shoot, while J. Grace's custom menus perfected our table place setting. Love Art Photography took these gorgeous pictures and also captured my little mascot Max, who became the model for my advertisement with Ceremony.

Anyone can dream... we can make it happen.
